On February 19, 2014 Facebook has officially announced that it has reached a definitive agreement to take over popular mobile-messaging company WhatsApp for a staggering 19 billion dollars. This number is divided in 12 billion worth of Facebook shares, 4 billion in cash and additional 3 billion as motivation for employees not to leave the company. These are serious numbers which provoke a logical question: “Why Facebook decided to give so much money for this service having in mind that Facebook turned down WhatsApp co-founder Brian Action for job in 2009?”
Some say: “What goes around comes around”. In this case it really did.
